Experimental Evaluation of Energy Resolutions for Pulsed Neutron Beam in the KURNS-LINAC

In this study, experimental evaluations for the energy resolution of pulsed neutron flux in path were carried out. The capture gamma-rays from a Ta-181 sample measured by BGO detectors with TOF method, and spectra well-known resonances obtained. was evaluated comparing full width at half maximum JENDL-4.0. order to obtain relationships between beam width, measurements out 4 μsec, 1 μsec 0.1 respectively. As results, range eV 125 corresponding each pulse evaluated. For example, 4.28 (Ta-181 first resonance peak) about 0.5 % μsec.
